Urban Paws

While Nathan and I were on our Newlywed Retreat, Patriot got to have his own retreat at Urban Paws Dallas!  We called Pate's normal boarding spot and they were all full so we called the vet for a good recommendation... Which led us to Urban Paws!

This is the cutest place to take your dog in Dallas-- located in Deep Ellum, it is a convenient spot for Downtown workers and is as hip as its Deep Ellum surroundings.  The employees were very friendly and take great care of the dogs there.  They have a number of indoor and outdoor "parks" where dogs (of similar size) play together all day long.  Normally when Pate gets boarded, he stays in a crate most of the day (which is fine for a sleepy dog like himself) so I'm sure it was quite a shock for him to get to play ALL day long.  We were told he got agressive at times (trying to "assert his dominance") but overall he had a great day and was out like a light that night!

I think Patriot liked that Urban Paws felt like home since we brought his bed and even one of his toys.  I think that we will definitely be taking him back, even if it is just for a day of doggie day care since he got to work on his socializing skills and got some energy out.  Patriot... such the Socialite :)

  1. When we have to board Harley, we tell her she's going to camp. We're just afraid it might hurt her little feelings if she knows she's just going to be boarded...hahahaha!
