Well, as October has come and gone, so has our birthdays... Nathan turned 28 and I turned the big 2-5.
We started out celebrating Nathan's birthday at Caravelle, a delicious Chinese restaurant in China Town that we'd never tried before. The waitress was SO sweet and helpful-- she recommended a terrific beef and Chinese broccoli dish that was to die for.
For Nathan's actual birthday, we went to Victor Tango's, a Spanish tapas restaurant on Knox/Henderson, which Nathan loved (I tolerated...). He ordered tuna nachos, octopus salad, bone marrow, crab mac n cheese, and duck sausage. Nathan loves trying weird food so this was a great place for him. They had a number of other entrees that looked good but since it was his birthday, he ordered :)
Happy birthday to Nathan!
In between both of our birthdays (they are one week apart), we invited our friends to Jump Street and Torchy's Tacos to celebrate the Cash family birthdays! We spent an hour at Jump Street playing trampoline dodge ball which was so much fun and then headed over to Torchy's for delicious tacos and queso. We had about 18 total at dinner -- friends from church, work, and Baylor -- they were all so sweet to come and help us celebrate! To finish off the night, we had carrot cake with cream cheese icing from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Yum!!
For my birthday, we went to Tokyo One, a sushi buffet in Addison that I like and then came back and opened presents (OK this MIGHT have been the day before my birthday!). I got a some perfectly Molly things including a watch, sweatshirt, chalkboard, and Nathan said he would take me to the mall to get boots.
So on my actual birthday, we spent the entire night at North Park shopping and looking for boots. We ended up at Daddy Jack's Chowder House for dinner where we enjoyed chowder (of course), mussels, and lobster. It was a perfect birthday!
At work we celebrated my birthday with a Luby's lunch and early voting. Love it!

Looks like you all ate your way through you birthday week!
ReplyDeleteGlad you both had fun celebrations:)
p.s. Your food choices sound better to me than bone marrow nachos or whatever...
Wow! What fun birthdays!! I'd like to try Jump Street sometime. Sounds great! Wish y'all would get put and try some new things, though. What "boring" lives you lead! ;0) Love!
