Mom's visit to Dallas

As you can tell, we have had a number of visitors lately and it's been so fun!  A few weekends ago, my dad and Nathan went fishing in Oklahoma, so my mom came and spent a few days with me in the Big D.  We did lots of fun stuff but we also took time to just hang out and be together.

We started off the weekend with a "girls pic" to send to my dad and Nathan.  I don't think they were very jealous since they had 2 days planned on the river...

The entire weekend forecast said at least 80% chance of rain, but we didn't let that stop us!

Saturday morning, we braved the drizzly weather outside and visited the White Rock Farmer's Market then headed over to the Arboretum.  We had a fabulous, girly lunch at the Arboretum tea room and as we were finishing up, the rain began to POUR.  My photog mama was a little upset that she couldn't have a photo shoot with her flower subjects, but we were hopeful that by Sunday, it would clear up...

The rest of Saturday, we piddled around... shopped, ate, etc.  We found a precious little dress and sandals for Kinsley while we were out and a couple of other things for ourselves.  We also saw the movie "The Vow"-- a perfect chick flick!

Saturday night we had dinner at Alfonso's where we had the best pizza!  We lounged afterwards... blogged... watched HGTV... Fun girl stuff.

Sunday, we got manicures then had Mi Cocina for lunch.  That was my first spring-colored manicure this year... monumental!  After lunch, the rain finally stopped and the sun came out, so we went to the Arboretum for our long-awaited photo shoot!  It turned into a gorgeous day!

It was another fun weekend in the Big D-- so glad my mom could come and hang out!
