Susie's Visit to Dallas

A few weekends ago, Nathan's mom came to visit us!  She was in East Texas for an ETBU celebration, so she swung by Dallas for a fun-filled two days.  We picked her up from the airport around lunchtime on Saturday, then went to Breadwinner's for a bite to eat... Yum!  It was perfect patio weather (which Dallasites loooove) and the food was delicious.  Then we took Susie to some of our favorite spots around Dallas...


We took her to the Farmer's Market which was hustling and bustling...

Then we went back and napped before we went back out for dinner at Oishii.  It was delicious as always!!  We got some sushi as well as Chinese food, and we tried a new roll which had jalapenos on it! 

Sunday, we took her to our church's service and Sunday School class then we had lunch at one of our favorite lunch spots, Eatzi's.  We sat outside, of course, and enjoyed our made-to-order salads and sandwiches.

That afternoon, we went to the Arboretum (it was the opening weekend of Dallas Blooms, so it was packed!).  It was SO beautiful--- there were tons of tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths (so it smelled heavenly), the grass was perfectly manicured, and there were precious little ponds/alcoves to enjoy.

We recently bought a year-long membership to the Arboretum and I know that we will definitely enjoy it!!  It's going to be our go-to activity whenever we have guests in town... so pack your bags and come visit the Cashes!

When we got back, we grabbed Pate and walked around White Rock Lake since the weather was so nice.  He really enjoyed walking with his Susie!

We definitely enjoyed sharing our favorite Dallas places with Susie!  So glad we got to spend a few days together!
