San Antonio Getaway

A few weekends ago, Nathan and I headed out to San Antonio with our friends, Scott and Rebekah!  We found a great Groupon where we stayed 2 nights at the JW Marriott Resort and Spa with a day of unlimited golf for the guys.

It was BEAUTIFUL to say the least--- a magnificent hotel situated in the middle of the hill country... filled with outdoor fireplaces, a waterpark, spa, multiple restaurants and bars, and beautiful rustic decor.

We walked around the hotel when we got in on Friday night (after a little road trip from Dallas with a stop at Bush's in Waco) and then got some sleep for a busy day ahead of us...  Saturday the boys golfed all day at the TPC San Antonio resort course and championship course (which is a huge deal so I hear) while Rebekah and I shopped our little hearts out at the San Marcos Outlets and Hobby Lobby.  She's a great person to go to Hobby Lobby with because she has great ideas-- especially for our Christmas decor.

After a day full of shopping and great golf (yes, it was great golf says the guys!), we came back to the hotel that night and had dinner at Cibolo Moon, one of the restaurants at the hotel, where we sat outside and enjoyed the crisp Hill Country air.  Then we went inside to the hang out area where we watched the Baylor vs. OU game-- my dad enjoyed our tickets while we were gone but we watched the game from beginning to end and boy were we on the edge of our seats!  Baylor pulled it off and beat OU with an exciting ending!

Sunday morning we took our time getting up and heading back to the big D... It was sad to leave such a fun place!

We had breakfast at Tejas Cafe, a favorite of Nathan's when he lived in San Antonio, and spent some time at the Round Rock Outlets on our drive back.

We had such a fun time with the Terry's and look forward to more fun adventures with them!
