Christmas in the Shug

After New Year's Eve on Friday, we drove down to Sugar Land ("the Shug") for a short Christmas weekend with my family.  We also got to pick up our sweet Patriot who was staying at Camp Sugar Land for a few weeks... He sure does enjoy staying with my parents-- he is always the center of attention because my mom gets to practice her photog skills on him (as you can see in the next 3 pictures), he is taken outside at least 10 times a day, and gets to lay on the "big bed" and snuggle.

On Christmas morning, he ran out of food (poor planning on my part!) so my family took a little trip to Petco

Isn't that just the sweetest face?

Pate says, "If Bailey can wear a feather in her hair, so can I"

We met up with everyone at Barnaby's where they get an A+ in their iced tea (according to the Dethrow women's standard).  We then tricked my dad and took him to Golf Galaxy where we surprised him with all new irons & a driver!  He was SO excited!

Brian and Nathan stayed with him as he tried out dozens of clubs in their cool hitting area.  He picked out some sweet clubs and had a great time with his boys.  Merry Christmas & Happy Birthday, Jeffe :)

While the boys were playing at Golf Galaxy, the girls decided to piddle in the Galleria.  I doooo love shopping with my mom, sister, and g-ma!

When we got back, we had Christmas with everyone-- Bailey loved to catch and shred the wrapping paper that was thrown on the floor.  She was soo excited when someone opened a gift!

After Christmas presents, it was the "Magic Hour" (definition:  the hour before the sun sets (or the hour after the sun rises) where the lighting is perfect for pictures).  And because it was the "Magic Hour," we all went outside and watched the boys play with my dad's new clubs and we took pics.

After the "Magic Hour" photoshoot, we all came back and watched football (Patriot and I miiiiight have taken a little nap)

But of course we woke up to try out our wedding sparklers and the camera!

We had a wonderful weekend with family and are blessed to be able to all get together for the holidays!
