I've been slacking on the blog lately... Sorry about that! My busy season at work is just about to wind down so I won't be traveling as much, which means more time at home and more time to blog. So here are some pictures of food we've eaten out in the last few months...
b.b.bop -- we bought a Groupon for this place in Dallas and really enjoyed it! They have healthy (ish) bowls of rice, meat, veggies, and sauces to try. I got a steak one and Nathan got a pulled pork one (both with eggs- yum!).
Last week was Restaurant Week in Dallas so we decided to go out and try Abacus, a Kent Rathbun restaurant. It was delicious!! For starters, we had seared scallops and bison dumplings, then a orange sorbet pallet cleanser, then for the main dish I had a Kobe beef hanger steak and Nathan had a shrimp and grits dish (his definitely won!), and for dessert they brought out a smattering of choices for us. Oh, and before our Restaurant Week meal, we ordered their famous Lobster Shooters which is an appetizer of fried lobster in a spicy sauce served in a shot glass. It was all very good!
| Left: Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate... and a stick of marshmallow Middle: Cake with raspberry topping Right: Pound cake with peach and jalapeno jelly |
One Saturday a while back, we tried Chip's Hamburgers for lunch-- an old but good burger place we had heard about. Very tasty! Especially while watching the Olympics.
And to finish up our food tour... Chick-fil-a
The craziness started a while back when Chick-fil-a stated their belief about marriage which sent people into a tizzy... So we went and supported Nathan's absolute favorite fast food place on Chick-fil-a Appreciation Day. Thank goodness no picketers were present at North Park Mall... we ate our chicken in peace.

It all looks yummy. For someone who used to not eat much steak, you've spread your palate wings lately!
ReplyDeleteYum yum!! It al looks delish!! And also, Chik-Fil-A has the best ice cream cones of any place!!!!!
